KATRIS is a brand under Papercut Lab, a cutting–edge research institution focused solely on paper design products. Their team is comprised of dedicated individuals who work with eco-friendly paper-based material every day. Their journey started with their first product, the modular cat tree, but now, they’re proud to expand their business with new products! As KATRIS continues to grow and evolve, their goal is to make products that your cat will love, and ones that you will love too.

They’re a team of dedicated individuals based in Silicon Valley with a background in design and packaging. Most of them have been working with paper for most of their careers. Creativity and craftsmanship always go hand in hand feeding each other. And they are craftsman, thinkers and designers. Experimenting and building is their passion and they learn by making. They appreciate the process as much as they appreciate the final outcome. The process gives them perspective.
PETS ARE THEIR FRIENDS
They’re a group of pet lovers who have cats or dogs as their companions in life. They care about pets’ physical and emotional wellbeing. Their founder Jeff’s cat Ceo has particularly influenced and inspired them for creating the KATRIS brand.

THEY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PAPER
Every material reveals its unique properties as you work with it. We experience that with paper, whose properties can range. It can be reused, repurposed and recycled. They are intrigued by the amazing designs that can be crafted out of paper and they believe the possibilities are endless.
THEIR CONCEPT
Their design team has spent most of their time investigating how to utilize the material to fit the needs of their cat companions. Layering of corrugated cardboard creates a very sturdy structure while it creates the necessary surface to scratch. The concept of modularity plays another important part in KATRIS products. Modularity gives the user the flexibility to fit KATRIS into different environments and life styles while inviting play and exploration. It also creates a changing environment to explore for cats.
About KATRIS Nest
KATRIS Nest has 100+ side panels that slightly shift when your cat rubs their back. It is constructed with high-density eco-friendly material for scratching. 19” width is the perfect fit for any size cat. The center scratching pad is replaceable as needed. And included felt cover provides extra comfort for your cat.
You can choose between “Assembly Required” or “Assembled Bundle”. Assembly requires about 15 minutes of time. Assembled Bundle included 2 extra center scratching pad.

The 100+ side panels move slightly with your cat’s body to provide the perfect back rubs. And the removable felt cover in the center provides added comfort for your cat.
SCRATCHING
The replaceable center scratch pad is made with high-density material to help your cat relieve tension. And premium selected corrugated material lasts longer than typical cat scratchers.
LOUNGING
The 19” bowl shape design is the perfect size for any cat to lay and sleep comfortably. This unique design is the perfect shape for curling up on a hot summer day and is designed to be breathable and to prevent overheating.
